Packet Materials:

The packet material comes from a separate manufacturing facility, and orders must meet their minimums for production. The material will be printed specifically for your product. Once the material is in our facility, we then can provide you a minimum filled packet number based on the type of sauce being produced (e.g., hot-fill vs. cold-fill production, texture, ingredients, etc.).
The standard packet size that we use for the 0.25 oz (7 gr) is 80mm (3.14 inches) tall and 55mm (2.16 inches) wide. However, we can do many different sizes and fill amounts.
A variety of customizable materials are available (e.g., colors, shapes, fill quantities, etc.) and we only use approved food-grade materials in our packaging.
We payment for the full minimum order of the material upfront, which will be roughly $5,500 for the minimum order, plus $450 plate charge for each color you will be using on the packets. The plate charge is only applied on your first print of material, however, if you do not reprint within 1 year then the manufacturer requires you to pay for them again on the next print.

Production Lead Times:

Lead time for the production and delivery of the packet materials is 3-4 months from the time the artwork is fully approved and submitted. This means the recipe needs to be 100% complete so we can put the ingredient list on the artwork along with any other related details.
Shipping is about half of the 3-4 month wait time and the manufacturer does allow for expediting partial orders to help decrease the wait time for your initial run (additional fees will apply). For example, expediting two rolls would allow us to run your first minimum order prior to the rest of the material showing up.
Lead time to produce and fill the hot sauce packets is approximately 2-4 weeks from the time of payment. This only applies once the materials are in our facility.

Minimum Order Quantities:

The minimum material order size is 19,000 meters. If you use the standard size of a .25 oz. (7 gr.) packet, you will get about 340,000 packets per roll of material. The minimum material order can be split into 2 or 3 different products - so you could have roughly 170,000 (dual split) or 113,000 of each (triple split).
The minimum run of filled packets is roughly 27,000 at the .25 oz. (7 gr.) size. This is based on a 50-60-gallon batch, which will vary based on the type of hot sauce being produced.
